Yoga your own Way on Your own Time

Practicing Yoga has become the healthy lifestyles choice of countless people all over the world, myself included. However, I often find myself limited by Yoga studios. While I love practicing Yoga at a studio, money, time, the studios schedule, children and any number of other considerations make studios impractical.

But there is a better way!

After my last child, I became a sloth for awhile. However, I have added Yoga practice back into my life with good sets of online programs, good Yoga DVD’s, and a good set of Yoga supplies. In truth secret is that building a Yoga studio in your own home is easy, cheap, and completely customizable. I still go to studios from time to time, but I find that I get a better experience in my own home. Why? Simple- I can practice whenever I want and most importantly, I can practice any kind of Yoga I’m in the mood for that day.

I’d like add one more point to this. For a lot of us trying to practice Yoga at home, the difficulty is having children. It’s difficult to work your life around a Yoga studio when you’re already working it around kids. At home, it’s all the easier to practice Yoga with your kids. I personally love his instructor, but there are some good kids Yoga DVD’s out there. I am recommending a few products below- my son uses the Hugger Mugger mat and I can’t believe how much he loves the eye pillow. If you’re practicing with kids, try this out- I never thought my crazy eight-year-old would meditate quietly, but put him in the right setting and he’s happy as a clam sitting quietly.
